PRACTICE at Zoetic, our 1-hour mindful movement, donation based, community class has begun!
Join us at PRACTICE, Zoetic’s 1-hour Guided mindful movement session (think simple slow easy stretching and breathing exercises done on the floor). PRACTICE consists of 20 min guided mindful movement, 5-10 min of breathing exercises, and 10 min guided meditation. We use sound bowls and a drum, and on occasion mindfulness mascot OooNa, the giant baby bunny will join in.

–Small class size in a LARGE SPACE: Our Great Room where we hold class inside gives you plenty of room to stretch out without touching your neighbor. (Max Class Size is 16)
–Uplifting practice setting: the Great Room at Zoetic Eco Retreat was chosen with connection to nature in mind. The vast light drenched space makes opening up your mind and body in unison with others a special joy.
–Refreshments & Entertainment: Come a half hour early and partake of the snack and tea bar. Or stay half an hour later to linger with Zoetic’s modest art collection. It’s challenging to focus if you are hungry or thirsty. We’ve got you covered with a selection of fruit, nuts, and cold and hot tea.
-Inclement Weather Plan: When the weather is right we also hold PRACTICE at different locations outside, in the 30 acre forest, or on special occasion, in the heated pool.

Suitable for ALL ages, shapes, sizes, and mobilities. We have clean mats, props, floor and standard chairs, bolsters, cushions, blankets, etc. Please feel free to bring your own equipment if preferred. The hour long class, PRACTICE at Zoetic, is a moving meditation class steeped in the science of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program. MBSR is the most widely practiced and studied, science based meditation stress reduction program in the United States.
Dara is the Program Director and Yogin at Zoetic. She has been practicing meditation, mindful movement, breathing exercises, silent and guided meditation for 20 years, teaching for 5. Her classes incorporate movement and stillness with a focus on queuing the breath to the movements to seamlessly connect the mind and body. She prides herself on the accessibility of her movement classes, while inviting people with yoga and meditation experience to meet the challenge with Beginners Mind. Dara has a love of the Science of meditation as well as the philosophy, and peppers her class with useful information about HOW and WHY the mind/body connection is the key to well being and true freedom.
